What a great start to the new season of the MBA Tuesday Club!
For those of you who perhaps aren’t as familiar, the Tuesday Club is a monthly event hosted for our current MBA students and alumni. With a guest speaker and a social to follow, it’s a great opportunity to learn something new, meet up with old friends and network away 🙂
Our first event of the new season (14 October) saw former alumna, Adela Papac, take to the floor. Currently the Director of Communications for the Association of MBAs (AMBA), Adela’s presentation was entitled “The power of digital networks: how to transform stakeholder engagement using digital channels”. Answering questions such as “How do you facilitate engagement with your key audiences across states and territories?” and “How can you successfully integrate digital channels into a stakeholder engagement strategy?”, Adela took us through AMBA’s strategic journey of moving from print to digital. In discussing the strategy behind such a move and in highlighting the many benefits, there were many helpful tips for the entrepreneurs in the audience, thinking of starting up or growing their own business/social enterprise.
As the Westminster MBA is AMBA accredited, it was also interesting to be reminded of all of the advantages of being a part of the AMBA family, including being able to network easily with other MBA graduates; the credibility and international recognition that the AMBA status provides and last but by no means least, the assurance of quality that AMBA accreditation offers with regards to teaching and study experience.
